According to Comscore, in 2014 mobile phone usage overtook desktop devices.
In Spain, we spend 54 hours per month browsing on a smartphone… this really summarizes the importance of mobile devices in our lives.
The rise of consumer adoption of mobile has created an impact on marketing companies that throughout the years have evolved their marketing campaigns to reach their target which is no longer on desktop devices
When it comes to app usage, the latest data from Yahoo’s Flurry analytics shows that 90 percent of consumer’s mobile time is spent in apps. As they put it: “It’s an App World. The Web Just Lives in It.”
Many app publishers that have a lot of traffic that is not interesting for them on their apps are looking to monetize it as much as possible but couldn’t find a platform help them transfer this traffic and monetize it at the same time.
Something similar happened with advertisers. They needed to get traffic from relevant mobile apps, however, there was not a platform that met their expectations.
Innovative solution, high impact
That is why in 2013 Gigigo had the idea of creating Traffic Exchange: A traffic interchange system in mobile apps. This tool was co-financed by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and commerce of Spain under the “Plan Avanza- project TSI-100600-2013-69”.
Thanks to Traffic Exchange, both publishers and advertisers are able to meet their needs through this platform.
